Our latest family edition

So we decided to take advantage of the great deals going on now to purchase a SUV that has towing capacity. Ultimately we would like to get some 4 wheelers so this is the first step. We absolutely love our Mitshubishi Endeavor! Byron and I are sooo excited and it is so much easier to load Nathan into!

Our Bathroom Remodel

Our New Vanity! Our new bathroom! Our first home improvement project ever! Wahoo!

Up close shot of the Laminate Floor a natural tavertine stone pattern
It all started with this green wall, shower curtain, and rug! Amazing

Another view of the european style vanity! Love it!

So I forgot to get really good before pictures which showed our vanity from the 1980's that had burn marks on the perimeter of the sink but I am sure you can use your imagination.
Here are the intermediate pictures!

Byrons "Little Giant Ladder" it did not take much arm twisting to get this for our project. In fact I suggested it when I saw that it was a killer deal at Costco! I love Costco!

Dad and Byron posing for their cameo! We are so thankful Dad offered to help the work went by so much faster and Byron loves to work side by side with Lynn.

What is for dinner Mom?

This is one of my favorite moments with Nathan. I have to find creative ways to keep him occupied while I am trying to cook. So I let him get into the pots and pans cabinet. To my surprise he not only pulled out these large frying pans but he proceeded to climb into all of them. Since this time he has climed into the laundry basket and drawer that he pulled from my dresser.

Nathan Scrapbook December

My Two Favorite Monkeys

I know it is hard to see from the video but Nathan absolutely loves and breaks out in laughter when Byron makes animal noises! This is one of my favorites!

My Husband is the Best

Byron surprised me today with Flowers for Valentines Day (Feb 10). We are going out of town this weekend and he decided to get me flowers early so I can enjoy them before we leave! I love him! He is the best. This is after me working 14 days in a row from home and full time hours in order to get a submittal done. Byron was a life saver in diverting Nathans attention in the evenings and taking care of him on the weekends so I could get my work done. He did not complain once! I love him! He is the best! He is everything to me!!!!

Who knew church could be so difficult with a baby

So I have a new level of empathy for mothers and fathers. Until now I never realized the intricacies involved with taking care of babies at church. I naively thought it would be simple. They would play quietly on your lap and just enjoy the cuddle time and having mom and dad close at hand. Not! Our little bundle of joy is so full of energy and so social he is not content to sit on mom and dads lap and has yet to be a cuddler. He was not even much of a cuddler as a newborn. He loves life and people and is curious about everything which makes containing him at church difficult at best. Not only that but church and naptimes always seem to conflict. I am seeking guidance and advice. Anyone have any good tricks of the trade with curious wonderer travelers who are too stimulated to sleep at church? Don't get me wrong I absolutely love our son and everything about being a mother I just feel like a slacker in the spiritual department. I keep telling myself being a mother is the higher commandment and calling right now but I miss being spiritually fed from my meetings.
